Yes you can I would imagine if it is like any other device.

How was it interrupted when updating? If a firmware update gets to a certain point and fail it can leave the device with no software at all. Meaning you now own a HP brick.

Give HP a call them might offer further support.

Since this is a firmware upgrade that was 'supposed' to fix these problems, I decided to load it to the printer. Note: the printer was VERY unstable, it was to the point that it was hard for the printer to even get to the 'ready' screen. So I finally got it there after a fresh restart as it said in the instructions and then I started to install the firmware update. I followed all of the instructions down to the detail. (I know that these type of things are VERY touchy sometimes) So I did everything that it said and the firmware said that it had completed on the computer and it had said 'erasing' on the LCD screen on the printer. So, naturally I gave it some more time. Then more and more time.... Then after 20 or so minutes of waiting for it it still said the same thing. (the instructions said that it could take up to 5 minutes - this was over 4 times longer than that.) I then decided to reboot the printer since it seemed very unresponsive at that point. SO...., now it says 'Firmware Corrupt - Ready 2 download' PLEASE HELP!
